Many individuals express disbelief in the existence of God or a Higher Power, which prompts the question of why some people manage to survive through extreme challenges. Countless stories of people overcoming serious addictions, life-threatening health conditions, and dangerous encounters seem impossible to explain. For instance, surviving a 20-year battle with addiction, undergoing a heart bypass, or escaping violent situations raises the question of what factors influence survival.
